October 18 13:38 2021

Calling all NBA avid fanatics out there! We know that you have your own list in mind. Let’s find out who made the cut for this year’s Top 5 NBA Players 2021-2022. Sit back, relax, enjoy, and find out who among your favorite bets qualified the list.

TOP 10 – Anthony Davis

One of the most favored players, Anthony Davis fulfilled his potential in the bubble in 2020 with a dominant run that resulted in his first championship. He averages 27.7 points, 9.7 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game. His versatility on the court made him one of the most valuable players in the NBA world.

TOP 9 – Damian Lillard

Portland Blazers’ Damian Lillard is considered as one of the clutchest performers in the league. This six-time all-star player who averaged 25 points per game can score at will joining Steph Curry in the list of  “players you have to pick up at half court” club because that’s how special his range is.

TOP 8 – Joel Embiid

Joel Embiid was arguably the most dominant player in the league last season. He can do it all on the offensive end, and he’s also a top-tier defender at the center spot. Embiid was the runner-up for the MVP award last season, and as long as he can stay healthy and out on the court for the Philadelphia 76ers, he’s sure to bring them to the top.

TOP 7 – Nikola Jokic

Nikola Jokic was instrumental in his team’s magical run to the Western Conference Finals. From nailing clutch shot after clutch shot for the Denver Nuggets, to passing his teammates open, Jokic has amassed one incredible combination of skills. Though many would say that he doesn’t have as much of an impact on the defensive end, he’s never considered a liability in the team.

TOP 6  – Luka Doncic

Even if he’s only been in the league for three seasons, Luka Doncic may one day inherit the top spot on this list. This 22-year old Dallas Mavericks point guard is prolific in every facet as a full-time offensive engine, with the size and pace to create mismatches in lieu of elite quickness, preternatural scoring know-how, and ingenious passing and processing speed. It’s not a bad bet that he may eventually average a triple-double in the next seasons to come.

TOP 5 – Stephen Curry

Perhaps the best shooter of all time, Steph Curry was winning games all by himself at times last season. If Curry can get his splash brother back to full health this season, the Warriors will be taken more seriously than their ninth place finish last season.

TOP 4 – James Harden

Although bothered by a hamstring injury during the latter part of last season, James Harden remains arguably the most dangerous offensive player in the league. He’s a complete package and his playmaking has been on full display with his team, the Brooklyn Nets.

TOP 3 – LeBron James

A paragon of basketball expertise, LeBron James was right in the thick of his NBA journey before averaging at least 25 points on every game last season which is the fewest in his career. According to some sports enthusiasts, James doesn’t have the same athletic advantage he once did. And even though he’s a step slower, with the physical authority to control every square inch of the floor finally starting to fade, he’s still THE LeBron James after all.

TOP 2 – Giannis Antetokounmpo

According to Jack Maloney, when Giannis signed his extension to stay with the Bucks last year, he did so with the express goal of winning a championship in Milwaukee. And that’s just what he did, leading the Bucks to their first title in 50 years despite suffering a severe hyperextended knee in the Eastern Conference finals. He is an athletic marvel, a dominant two-way force and one of the fiercest competitors in the league, which is why he’ll be in the MVP and best player in the world conversations for the foreseeable future.

TOP 1 – Kevin Durant

Before getting sidelined with a torn Achilles injury in the 2019 NBA Finals, Kevin Durant was the clear No. 2 in the league. After? Durant somehow proved to reach his elite form even after a heel injury that has changed the career trajectory of those greats that have come before him.

Durant turned himself into the world’s greatest scorer with the Thunder, became a more willing passer and gifted defender with the Warriors, and has now become the best player in the world with the Nets. (Source: NBC Sports)
