Daughters of Zion SBA CNPP Grantee Unites With Pinnacle Bank to Provide Valuable Loan Guidance to Memphis Entrepreneurs
Daughters of Zion SBA CNPP Grantee Unites With Pinnacle Bank to Provide Valuable Loan Guidance to Memphis Entrepreneurs. In the words of Isabel Guzman 27th Administrator of the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) – “We cannot afford to leave talent on the sidelines.”

On December 1, 2021, Rev. Dr. Gerald Kiner, PhD (center left in the picture below) Executive Director of Daughters of Zion met with three Senior Vice- Presidents  at Pinnacle Financial Partners – Steve Swain (far left), Sean Henneberger (far right), and Jarmila Reed (center right) to strategize how to ensure underserved Memphis entrepreneurs become – in the words of Senior Vice President of SBA Lending Sean Henneberger, “more bankable and educated borrowers.”

Steve Swain, Senior Vice President of Community Lending Manager affirmed their goal is to – as it relates to helping the aforementioned business acquire loans “look for ways to find a yes.”

And no wonder, Pinnacle Financial Services is #1 in the state of Tennessee in providing SBA loans to small businesses. Steve Swain noted Pinnacle Bank is #1 because “Pinnacle bankers rarely sleep.” Their union with Daughters of Zion is a match made in heaven because Daughters of Zion executives rarely sleep. Daughters of Zion is the only entity in the state of Tennessee that operates a college, an adult day care, a mental health facility, and now a CNPP Grantee responsible for making sure vulnerable Memphis entrepreneurs are not going out of business due to the lack of information or not in the business game because of insufficient knowledge.

In the words of National Administor of the Small Business Administration – Isabel Guzman, “We cannot afford to leave talent on the sideline.”  Daughters of Zion SBA’s Community Navigator Pilot Program Grantee and  Pinnacle Financial Partners will make sure Memphis entrepreneurs will not be left on the sideline but rather will become full-fledged, robust, and successful participants in the local business community and beyond.
