LivingWriter Takes its Place as the World’s Best Writing Software, Eyes Expansion

April 06 15:12 2021

In the beginning, there was a vision, a dream, like so many in the fabled land of storytelling: which blossomed into an idea. Most writers, unless they’re screenwriters have no tools that help them craft their stories. The king of all word processors, Google Docs, arrived on the scene, but it isn’t tailored to novels. The only thing that was, is a now decades-old software called Scrivener that writers have been forced to embrace because there simply isn’t anything better.

As with any good writing tool, the idea came from writing itself. Founder Casey Kerbs was on her way to finish her first book and she found the writing applications out there severely lacking. Microsoft Word would bog down her computer after 10,000 words – because it’s meant for memos and only a few pages. There was no place in Google Docs to add her characters, places, things, and research. Scrivener looked like an eye-sore from the ’90s. And so began LivingWriter, completely woman and minority-owned and funded.

LivingWriter produced a one-stop shop for all your story-writing needs, with a clean, modern interface, the power of Google Docs cloud features, setting writing goals, writing templates, and so much more. It has garnered a long list of positive reviews for its impeccable technology and is now being used by best-selling authors including Ivy Smoak, Alessandra Torre, and more. Writers have lavished praise on LivingWriter for making their writing process simpler, for making their words flow easily through their fingertips, and for making their writing dreams come true.

LivingWriter’s mission statement is short and sweet. It’s a promise of the ultimate writing tool and a continuation of that promise into the future. It reads, “Our mission is to provide the most efficient writing app possible for anyone looking to create (or finish) their next work.” The team at LivingWriter is diligently working to make the most efficient writing app even more efficient. They’ve recently launched a desktop version of their web app to complement the web, iOS, and Android versions. Through their partnership with Canva, they’re also offering their subscribers (at no additional cost) book covers they can design right inside the app!

There’s always a fear when working with cloud-based systems about the safety and privacy of their work. That’s why LivingWriter has partnered with Amazon AWS and strictly uses their infrastructure and technicians to handle all matters related to privacy, backups, and data integrity. LivingWriter’s future with Amazon looks bright, they already offer exports directly to KDP Publishing formats, and will be soon adding direct send-to-kindle services for their customers.

The future is bright for LivingWriter. There’s a light at the end of the tunnel that they’ll be pursuing forever because a good piece of software never stops being developed. As long as the world needs more stories, and there are people that have the passionate urge to write them, LivingWriter will be here. It’ll be evolving, and expanding, alongside the universe.
